Alli Manzella is a holistic living, homesteading mama who turned her pain into purpose after years of debilitating health challenges related to Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS). Today, she is a highly regarded health coach specializing in complex gastrointestinal, immune, and chronic inflammatory illnesses. Her work uniquely blends expertise in functional medicine, environmental health, and healthy home design to support healing at a foundational level.

Concentration 

As one of the few CIRS-literate functional health practitioners in Canada, Alli offers virtual health coaching and healthy home consultation throughout Canada and the U.S., specializing in advanced testing, root-cause analysis, and personalized plans.

 

With nearly a decade in clinical practice focused on biotoxin illness, she brings a deep understanding of both the science and the lived experience of this complex condition. She is the creator of the CIRS Clarity Program, a science-backed, step-by-step virtual program tailored to each client’s unique history, symptoms, and biotoxin burden. The program is designed to bring clarity and direction to those seeking consistent, individualized support.

Education

Alli is certified in Functional Nutrition Therapy and Environmental Health through the Arizona Centre of Integrative Medicine. She attended in-person classes at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and completed advanced coursework through the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) platform. Her continuing education includes training through the Functional Academy of Medicine and Epigenetics (FAME) and formal programs led by Dr. Nirala Jacobi, Dr Neil Nathan, Dr. Jill Crista, Dr. Ben Lynch, and Dr. Amy Yasko.

In addition to academic study, Alli has gained invaluable clinical insight through mentorship and patient collaboration with leaders in integrative medicine including, Dr. Robynne Chutkan, Dr. Georgia Tetlow, Dr. Bob Miller, Dr. Michael Rothman, and Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker.

Interior Design Background

Alli holds an associate’s degree in Interior Design, with additional training in Architectural Technology and Building Science. She is a registered Green Building Specialist with the Canadian Green Building Council and has completed advanced training in mold-resistant construction and tiny home design through the Dwell Well Institute. Having over 24 years of experience in the design-build industry, Alli is now focused on helping clients create healthy homes through virtual interior design consultations and full-scale tiny home builds.

Alli owns and operates Muskoka Tiny Homes Inc. A home design and build company in Muskoka, Ontario. Together with her husband, a high-end home builder and master timber framer, she directs the building of health-conscious tiny homes on wheels using carefully vetted materials and finishes. These homes are constructed by master craftsmen in a newly built, mold-free 2,560-square-foot facility.

Journey

Beyond her design and clinical work, Alli is the co-founder and Research Director of Root Cause for Crohn's and Colitis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research and providing online education for individuals living with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Alli began her journey as an educator by teaching in-person classes on traditional food preparation, fermentation, and homesteading from her home in rural Pennsylvania. Today, she continues this work as a Weston A. Price Foundation Chapter Leader in Muskoka, where she advocates for nutrient-dense, locally raised food while supporting her community through education and resources rooted in ancestral wisdom.

Her work has been featured on podcasts, radio, daytime television, and in local newspapers, where she continues to inspire others to live in alignment with nature, nourish their bodies from the inside out, and reclaim their environments as the foundation of health.
